We are a women-led digital boutique creating unconventional strategies for extraordinary impact.
If you’re an outlier in your industry, we want to work with you.

Working with influential thought leaders and movements to drive conversations that matter.

As leading digital experts, we’ve built strategies for emerging movements, and  influential thought leaders and their teams in government, political campaigns, non-profits, tech, and emerging movements. We’ve worked in organizations and campaigns large and small and know there is no one-size-fits-all digital strategy. As a boutique agency, we work directly with your team’s needs.

Our Founder Laura Miller has a proven track record running high-profile social accounts including for Michelle Obama and starting organizations like the voter registration non-profit initiative When We All Vote. She’s built rapid-response campaigns from scratch, and built teams big and small.

Laura Miller, CEO & Founder

Laura Miller is the CEO and Founder of Outliers Digital Strategies, a women-led boutique that designs unconventional strategies for extraordinary impact. Her firm partners with global thought leaders and emerging moments leading digital campaigns that shift culture, drive conversations and storytelling, and deliver measurable results.

Laura’s superpower is combining startup-level agility, high-stakes savvy, and deep empathy—crafting bespoke strategies that defy one-size-fits-all models. She has built rapid-response campaigns from the ground up, led high-performing teams of all sizes, and transformed bold ideas into powerful movements.

Her career has taken her behind the scenes of some of the most influential campaigns of our time: steering social media for Michelle Obama, the Obama White House, and the U.S. Senate; shaping strategy for changemakers including Jonathan Haidt, Melinda Gates, Ashley Judd, and Emily Oster; and driving landmark marketing and mobilization efforts such as Michelle Obama's Becoming book tour, When We All Vote voter registration and voting rights efforts, March for Our Lives, and Families Belong Together.

Her work lives at the intersection of content development, team structure mapping, civic engagement, grassroots organizing, and digital mobilization—where she leverages online platforms to elevate stories, mobilize communities, and expand participation in social causes.

In 2018, Laura helped build and launch the pioneering voter registration initiative When We All Vote. In 2023, led the team as Interim Executive Director and continued to advise through the 2024 election cycle—leading national digital efforts to register and mobilize voters, especially young people and voters of color.

A relentless advocate for women, Laura also champions efforts to create a more sustainable and supportive ecosystem for creative women who choose non-traditional work paths.

Her credentials include being a 2022 New Leaders Council Fellow, a former Harvard Ash Center Fellow, and a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Raised in a proud union household in Woodstock, Illinois, the Midwest will always be home.
